Bees wax wraps
Reusable and eco-friendly food wraps.
Use the heat of your hands to release the natural self-sealing finish, it will stiffen up in the fridge. Your food stays fresher for much longer than plastic.
Wash with lukewarm water and mild dish soap, hang to air dry.
The wraps are best stored flat or rolled in a dry place like your tea towel drawer.
Not for use to cover raw meats, but cooked is fine. Avoid wrapping pineapple since its enzymes will break down the coating.
For up to 400 uses, or about a year.
When your wraps have done their deal they can either be resealed with bees wax pellets, be composted, buried in the ground, used as fire starters, or cut in to strips to tie up your climbing plants in the garden.
